In my free time, I enjoy going to bookstores not only to check out the new cover art, but also any unique printing effects used, and reverse-engineering how to create them.

I am an accomplished, multi-talented graphic designer with a passion for design and over 15 years of experience in the print and publishing industry. Specializing in delivering high-quality work in deadline-driven environments, my expertise includes typography, photo retouching, and creating layouts for books, magazines, and other long-form documents.

 

Designing is more than my job; it's my passion. I love the process of transforming an idea into a visually stunning piece of art. I love to learn; I have a dual BFA in Graphic Design and Studio Art from Keene State College and an MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media from New York University. One of the things I love about designing is the constant evolution of technology. With every program upgrade released, I am excited to explore and learn the new features and tools available. As part of my process, I incorporate left- and right-brained thinking to achieve my design goals, and the journey with these tools is just as important as the destination. By staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies, I can deliver high-quality results.

 

I am not just a graphic designer; I am also an artist. Ever the nerd looking to learn new things, at the height of COVID, I stumbled upon a tutorial demonstrating how to achieve photorealistic, painterly effects using professional-grade colored pencils and odorless mineral spirits. Immediately, I was hooked. From landscapes to people and pet portraits, this medium is now my favorite, and you can see my projects in my art portfolio.
